We are pleased to announce that we will be commencing work on phase two of a new woodland planting scheme on behalf of Lowther Park Farms in Cumbria.
Following the successful planting of 170ha of new conifer and broadleaved woodland on land previously used for agriculture during the 2017- 2018 planting season. We have been contracted to plant and establish a further 77ha of mixed woodland in the coming 2019-2020 season.
The combined scheme forms one of the largest woodland creation projects in England to be funded by Natural England in recent years.
The works which will involve installing 2800m of new deer fence, ground preparation and the planting of over 107,000 Conifer and broadleaf trees. It is planned to start in October 2019 and expected to be completed by January 2020.
