Lowther Forestry Group are pleased to be working with Wigan Council on the regeneration of Union Street Park, Wigan.
The enhancement works will include the clearance of the existing landscaping and fencing, selective felling and crown raising to existing trees.
33 ornamental extra heavy standard trees will then be planted along existing avenues, followed by the planting of a variety of ornamental shrubs chosen to give a stunning display of colour, especially in the spring.
In addition to the new planting works, timber post and rail fencing and birds mouth fence together with a new pedestrian swing gate entrance will be installed.
Works are due to start at the end of March and be completed by end of April 2017.
