Congratulations to Peter Clark who has worked with us since 2020 for completing the Great North Run.
Peter took up the challenge to run the Great North Run this September to raise money for Northern Counties Kidney Research Fund, a registered charity, who fund research into all aspects of kidney disease and kidney transplants in adults and children. Peter has been trying to run regularly for the past few years and whilst he didn’t smash his PB on a lovely sunny Sunday in Newcastle I think you might agree that 2hrs 50secs is still a good time for an occasional runner.
The Great North Run this year had over 50,00 runners, raising around £25 million for charities all over the UK. Peter set a target of £200 on his Just Giving Page and exceed that amount raising a much needed amount of £650 for North Counties Research Fund.
Peter would like to thank everyone for their kind support and donations, it was much appreciated. He enjoyed the run so much he would do it again tomorrow, as it was a challenge, a good atmosphere and an excuse to see the lovely city of Newcastle.
