We are pleased to announce that David Bliss, CEO of Lowther Estates has recently been appointed as non-executive director of Lowther Forestry Group Ltd. With over 30 years experience in farm and rural business management carried out throughout the UK, his appointment helps to increase the diversity of views and knowledge across the board. As a previous Trustee for the Heart of England Forest Charity, David was responsible for the purchasing of over 5000 acres of land in the West Midlands, which was then planted predominately into broadleaved woodland at the rate of 300 acres per year. A nursery was established during this period to provide the growing stock.
David joined the Lowther Estate management team in April 2017 and as well as managing the estate’s farm and rural business portfolio he also manages Lowther Castle.
